How is semiconductor fingerprint different from optical?

Optical sensors read a 2D image of your fingerprint surface. Semiconductor sensors read the actual 3D contour of your finger — the ridges and valleys rather than just a flat image. The result is faster recognition, better accuracy in different lighting conditions, and more resistance to spoofing with a printed fingerprint image.

Can multiple people be registered?

Yes. Multiple fingerprints can be stored so different family members or colleagues can each unlock with their own finger. No sharing passwords or making copies of keys.

What happens if my phone battery dies?

Password entry works independently of the app. If your phone is dead or unavailable, the password method gets you in. The three unlock methods are independent of each other so a failure in one does not lock you out.
