So my sister came over last month and said my living room looked like a hotel lobby that forgot to finish decorating. Rude, but also kind of true. I'd been putting off buying pillows for like a year because every option online looked either boring or way too busy. Found this one almost by accident.

It's a trellis pattern, the kind with the curved interlocking shapes, quatrefoil if you want the fancy name for it. Thing is, most pillows just print this kind of design onto flat cotton. This one's actually woven in. You can feel the raised texture if you run your fingers across it, not flat at all.

Six colors. I picked dark blue first since my couch is this kind of muddy grey color that doesn't go with much. Worked better than I thought it would honestly. Ended up grabbing beige too for my bed a few weeks later.

One thing I liked, the insert's already inside it. Didn't have to go hunt down a separate pillow form that actually fits right, which is annoying and happens more than it should with throw pillows.

I'd been slowly redoing my whole reading corner anyway so I also grabbed a couple geometric cushion covers to throw in next to this one. They don't match exactly and that's kind of the point, looks more put together when things aren't identical twins.

A few things worth knowing before you buy:

The pattern itself, classic trellis or quatrefoil, whatever you want to call it. Reads as timeless rather than trendy, so it's not going to look dated in two years like some patterns do.

Woven into the fabric, not printed. This matters more than people think because printed patterns fade and crack eventually. Woven ones just don't, or at least mine hasn't after a bunch of washes.

Comes in Beige, Orange, Yellow, Green, Sky Blue and Dark Blue. All the same pattern, just different two tone combos depending what you pick.

Standard 20x20 inch size (50x50cm for anyone using metric). Fits whatever insert or cover you've already got lying around if you ever need a backup.

Material's a cotton blend, machine washable on cold, tumble dry low. Don't bleach it, don't crank the dryer heat, the pattern stays sharper if you're a little gentle with it.
