Product Description

Made dumplings by hand for years. Took about forty minutes to get through one batch, half of them sealed properly, the other half burst open in the pot and made a mess of the water. Picked this up after one too many ruined dumpling nights and the difference is pretty significant.

304 stainless steel, silver finish, compact hinged press design. Use the back to cut the wrapper circle first, lay it flat, add filling, close the press firmly, open it and the dumpling comes out with a clean crimped edge that actually holds during cooking. Four steps, takes about ten seconds per dumpling once you get the rhythm going.

The seal is tighter than anything you can manage by hand pressing alone, which means the filling stays inside where it belongs instead of leaking out into the cooking water. Edge pattern is consistent too, every dumpling comes out looking the same shape rather than the slightly different sizes you end up with when doing it freehand.

304 stainless steel is rust and corrosion resistant, so it holds up through regular washing and use without the coating wearing off the way cheaper plastic versions tend to do after a few months. Handle grip is comfortable enough that working through a large batch doesn't get tiring.

Works for more than just dumplings too. Empanadas, potstickers, pierogies, any filled pastry that needs a sealed edge comes out well with this. Same four step process regardless what you're filling it with.

One dumpling maker ships in the box. Everything needed, nothing extra required.

If you're stocking up the kitchen with proper tools, this pairs well with an electric salt and pepper grinder for seasoning the filling, get the prep tools and the seasoning tools sorted at the same time.

How to use it

Use the back of the mold to cut the wrapper circle. Lay it flat and add your filling in the center. Close the press firmly. Open it and the sealed dumpling comes out ready to cook.

Common questions

What material is it? 304 stainless steel, rust and corrosion resistant, built for regular kitchen use without degrading.

Does it actually seal properly? Yes, the press creates a tight crimped edge that holds during boiling or pan frying without the filling leaking out.

Can I use it for things other than dumplings? Yes, works for empanadas, potstickers, pierogies and any filled pastry that needs a sealed crimped edge.

Is it hard to use? No, four steps. Cut wrapper, add filling, close press, open and remove. Takes about ten seconds per piece once you've done a few.

How do I clean it? Stainless steel washes easily by hand or in a dishwasher without rusting or staining.

What size dumplings does it make? Standard dumpling size, the cutter on the back determines the wrapper circle size which sets the final dumpling size.
