Thick Waterproof Shower Curtain Heavy Duty Polyester 6 Sizes
Thin shower curtains billow inward when you turn the water on. They stick to your legs. Water gets past the edge. The floor gets wet anyway. You bought a curtain that does not do the one job a curtain is supposed to do.
This one is thicker. You notice it the moment you pick it up. The fabric has weight. It hangs straight and stays there. When you shower, it does not move toward you. Water hits it and runs down into the tub. The floor stays dry. That is what a curtain is supposed to do.
What thicker fabric actually changes
The weave is denser than standard polyester curtains. More fibers per square inch means less space for water to push through. It also means the curtain does not go limp after a few washes. Standard thin curtains start to lose their structure within a couple months of daily use. This one holds its body and drape through regular washing without going soft and floppy at the edges.
The weight also keeps it hanging closer to the tub wall. A light curtain drifts. A heavier one stays put. That gap between a drifting curtain and the tub edge is where most bathroom floor water actually comes from. Close the gap and the floor stays dry.
Six sizes, one of them is almost certainly yours
The 71 by 71 inch size fits most US bathtubs and standard shower combos. That is where most people should start. If your tub has a wider opening or you have a walk-in with double doors, the 65 by 71 inch works better on each side.
The 71 by 79 inch is the extra long option. Eight inches longer than standard. It works in tall shower enclosures where the standard size leaves a gap between the curtain hem and the tub floor. It also suits spaces where you want the curtain to run closer to the floor for a fuller look.
The 35 and 47 inch widths are for narrow stalls. A standard 71 inch curtain in a narrow stall has too much fabric bunching on the rod. The narrower widths hang cleanly without excess fabric folding over itself at the sides.
Clean in two minutes, dry in one hour
The smooth polyester surface does not hold soap buildup the way fabric panels do. Wipe it down with a damp cloth and most of what accumulates during a week of showers comes right off. For a proper wash, machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Hang it back on the rod when done. It dries fast. Do not put it in the dryer. Heat is the only thing that breaks down the waterproofing over time.
No liner required
The thickened polyester is waterproof on its own. You do not need a separate liner hanging behind it. One curtain on the rod is enough. If your tub has an unusually wide gap at one end and you want extra coverage at the edges, a liner can be added, but most setups do not need it.
